According to cartoon voice actor Billy West, who was appearing on the Nerdist podcast, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain pitched a song for The Ren and Stimpy Show. The producers of the show, either not recognizing Cobain or not really caring one way or the other, supposedly pitched the song. No one in Nirvana's camp has confirmed or denied the story, but much in the way that William Faulkner could write an exhaust pipe gag that really made you think, Cobain probably would have been able to really touch on the alienation inherent in the pairing of a chihuahua and a cat.
