R.E.M. announce five-night stand in Ireland

Yep, Ireland. Hey, might make for a nice summer vacation. Backpack some beautiful emerald countryside. Hit some pubs. Catch R.E.M. in Dublin. Sounds like a plan.
The recently Rock Hall-inducted band will perform at Dublin's Olympia Theatre June 30 and July 1, 3, 4, and 5. They're expected to work through much of the new material they're crafting for a new album. R.E.M. has recently been shaping up that new material with Irish (I sense a trend here) producer Jacknife Lee, who has worked with U2 and Snow Patrol in the past.
This whole multiple nights in one city thing is really catching on, huh? Those Arcade Fire kids are such trendsetters.
