Brooklyn's finest psychedelic space-rockers, Religious Knives, will be busting out all over this fall, with a globe-trotting tour (sorry, no U.S. dates yet) and a brand new album. The Door is set for an October 14 release on Ecstatic Peace, and will be produced by none other than Thurston Moore. Hardcore Knifeheads shouldn't fear Moore recasting the band's sound in his own image or anything, though; from the sound of the new tune the Knives have posted on their MySpace page, they're as psychy and spacey as ever. If anything, "Basement Watch" bears more of a resemblance to White Magic, and moves a touch more towards conventional song structure than the extended meditations found on their last album, It's After Dark.
