It may be four years since Eels’ last studio album, Blinking Lights and Other Revelations, but frontman Mark Everett hasn’t been resting on his laurels in the interim. He’s been touring, releasing the mammoth Meet The Eels, writing the autobiographical Things the Grandchildren Should Know and recording and promoting the documentary Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives.
It would appear that Mr E. is incapable of just kicking back and stroking his beard; June 2 will see the release of the follow-up to Blinking Lights, Hombre Lobo. The album will be released by Vagrant, all twelve tracks were recorded in Everett’s Los Angeles studio. [NME]
