Regina Spektor Writing Music for <i>Sleeping Beauty</i>-inspired Musical

The BBC is reporting that New York songstress Regina Spektor is in the process of writing music for an upcoming Broadway musical that is inspired by Sleeping Beauty. The production, titled Beauty, is scheduled to premiere in the 2011-2012 season, so Spektor has a while before her music will be due. Considering some of Spektor's songs already sound like soundtracks to fairy tales, it's not that far of a leap. [BBC]
