Because Record Store Day has proved to be something of a success, the minds behind it have announced plans to make the yearly promotion a monthly event. On the third Saturday of every month, aka Vinyl Saturday, there will be exclusive new releases at your participating brick-and-mortar record shop. This month's edition goes off on June 20, and features releases from Wilco (a seven-inch for Wilco (The Album) track "You Never Know), Modest Mouse (who are releasing a seven-inch for "Autumn Beds"), a limited edition seven-inch of Green Day's "Know Your Enemy" and the debut seven-inch from Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johannson's collabo.
Future bands already reported to be involved are Al Green, Earth, Patterson Hood, The Woggles, Those Darlins and Wolves in the Throne Room. [Pitchfork]
