Record Store Day Expands Into Black Friday

You may want to reconsider if you were thinking your post-Thanksgiving itinerary included sleeping all day and turkey sandwiches. Today the brains behind Record Store Day announced they’ll be expanding into Black Friday, a day best known for soccer moms trampling over other soccer moms in order to cop that last discounted plasma. The big ticket item is the first single from Iron & Wine’s new album, but plenty of other artists are getting in on the fanfare (even Bob Dylan!) which will be happening at several record stores across America. Check here for a list of the releases, and here for the stores involved. Set your alarms now. [The A.V. Club]
