It appears that RDIO is emerging as the main competitor to Spotify in the streaming music service/app throwdown, as RDIO has announced plans to expand all over Europe in the next few months, before moving on to Asia as well. RDIO recently launched in Germany, Spain, Portugal, and Denmark, and has plans to cover most of Europe as soon as possible, in order to try to peel off some of Spotify’s entrenched market share (Spotify has been in Europe for a few years). The Asian expansion plan doesn’t have a strict timeline, but RDIO is hopeful to expand there soon as well. Read more over at the Verge.
