R&B singer Joe accuses R. Kelly of sabotaging career

As far as R. Kelly controversy is concerned, Joe's accusations that Kellz tried to hurt his career by getting his singles pulled off the radio are fairly tame. But that doesn't mean they aren't strange. Joe said, "R. Kelly was very instrumental in making a lot of decisions when it came to my records being played on the radio. He would make a call to the radio station or to the label and say, 'Hey, this Joe record is too hot right now. Yall need to pull that back. And they would oblige."

Even if this is true, it didn't seem to hurt Joe too much, as he stil managed two platinum albums and three gold ones during his time as Kelly's Jive label mate. Still, why would Jive do this, and where is Joe hearing this from? None of it quite adds up, but then again few things do when it comes to the pied piper of R&B.

Perhaps the problem with his career is that he went by..."Joe." That name doesn't really speak volumes for your creativity.

It doesn't. Of all the artists on Jive, R. Kelly calls to pull Joe's tracks? Even after giving him one of his songs "more and more" that was going to be on the loveland album. Come on now

Joe is an awesome guy. He's a humble child of God who has unlimited talent. Both his parents are ministers of God's word and the Lord promises that when you are saved, he will save your descendants. Joe is sealed by the blood of Jesus, he will always be victorious when all is said and done. That goes for every child of the King. I can say these things because I was Blessed with the pleasure of meeting him and speaking to him one on one in March 2007. Joe, in case you're reading this, remember to pray without ceasing. He'll hear you and take care of everything.

Take care, Tami.
