Rap duo Atmosphere branches out in into children’s books

Look out Sandra Boynton, here comes Slug! Minnesota rap duo Atmosphere are pulling out all the stops for their upcoming album When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. A limited edition version will include a bonus DVD of past performances and comes packaged with a forty-page, hardback tome for the tots. The book, written by Atmjosphere’s Slug, will contain sketches by the duo and a story that follows the lyrics of the album. While the record’s title doesn’t strike one immediately as appropriate for the Sesame Street set, Slug has said that the entire set was inspired by his experience with fatherhood. When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold is scheduled for an April 21 release from Rhymesayers Entertainment. [NME]

On the first album, OVERCAST there were 3 members. After that, Spawn left leaving Atmosphere as a duo: Slug on the mic, Ant on the beats.
