Rage Against the Machine rock without incident at the DNC (Videos)

An anti-war concert headlined by Rage Against the Machine at the Democratic National Convention in Denver was held without incident, drawing a crowd of nine thousand music fans. The concert was opened by State Radio, and by the time Rage Against the Machine took the stage, the Denver Coliseum was filled with concert goers, who received free tickets via lottery.

The show was sponsored by Iraq Veterans Against the War and Tent State University, who also organized a march to the headquarters of the DNC at the conclusion of the concert. Both groups stressed the action was an act of nonviolent civil disobedience, and that marchers have been instructed to use passive protest methods. Rage Against the Machine also plans a concert September 3 in Minneapolis during the Republican National Convention. [Associated Press]

what would we do without music bands and celebrities?

Um, so I guess they were not-so-raging FOR the machine?

Hey dude: Rage does not have the implicit connotation of violence. Thousands of people marching on the DNC screaming anti-war chants at the hundreds of cops in riot gear, some wearing steel plated gauntlets, is exactly what raging against the machine looks like. One does not have to perpetrate acts of violence to exhibit

It is amazing to me how all those people were so tame. thats RAGE AGAINST the effin MACHINE up there. not some puddle of mudd, creed, conformist CRAP. especially at the dam DNC. Do yer dance, Do yer move!! RATM and "without incident" should not be in the same sentence. I get the whole ghandi peacful protest thing, but damn..show yer respect, show yer passion!! theirs a time and a place, maybe that will be when they play the republican conv. TEAR IT DOWN!!! they've(rep) messed up enough of our sh%t for the past 8 years, thats for dam sure. Glad to see your back boys(RATM) we've needed you MORE than EVER!!!!
