Radiohead’s Philip Selway Issues Statement About Stage Collapse Victim

As previously reported, Radiohead cancelled their show last night in Toronto following the pre-show collapse of the stage on which they were intending to play. Later, it was also made known that the collapse took the life of a man who was eventually identified as 33-year-old English drum technician Scott Johnson.
As a response to the incident and Johnson’s passing, Radiohead drummer Philip Selway took to the band’s official website to issue the following statement:
We have all been shattered by the loss of Scott Johnson, our friend and colleague. He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny; a highly skilled and valued member of our great road crew. We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and love are with Scott’s family and all those close to him.
