Radiohead To Release "Supercollider" And "The Butcher" As Free Downloads

Did miss out on Radiohead’s Record Store Day single? Chances are you did, especially if you’re on this side of the Atlantic, where it wasn’t even made available. Naturally, rips of the tracks have appeared like a rash online, but the band has decided to step in and make the material widely available for everyone.

Both “Supercollider” and “The Butcher” are set to be released as free downloads, as outlined in an email from the group: “This is not part of a new loyalty points scheme, a Radiohead clubcard or even an air miles redeemable reward type thing... It is just a big old-fashioned thank you!”

The tracks are available to anyone who paid for a copy of The King of Limbs in one of its many formats, including the as-yet unavailable box set. The band has also apologized for a label mishap in the pressing of the original 12-inch release. "Unfortunately, due to err…unforeseen circumstances that we didn't foresee, some of the vinyl have the labels on the wrong way around,” they write on Dead Air Space
