Radiohead Post Official Streams Of "The Daily Mail" And "Staircase"

The new Radiohead single, featuring “The Daily Mail” and “Staircase,” goes on sale through digital retailers today, and the band has uploaded the two tracks to its official YouTube channel. Both songs missed out on being included on The King of Limbs, but were recorded as part of the From the Basement session from earlier this year.

“The Daily Mail” is the most John Lennon-esque song the group has recorded to date, especially when it steps up a notch in the final third. “Staircase” sounds more like the band in its present incarnation, with jittery electronics providing a subtle backing over which Thom Yorke emotes.

DVD and Blu-Ray versions of The King of Limbs: Live From the Basement will be released on Jan. 31, while MP3 and WAV versions should be available to downloaded from the iTunes store later today (Dec. 19). [via CoS]
