Radiohead Plan To Get To Work On New Album This Summer

Although you should probably take any major music announcements on April Fools Day with a grain of salt, it looks like this one is the real deal. According to Johnny Greenwood, Radiohead may be getting to work on a followup to 2011’s King of Limbs as soon as this summer.

In a recent interview with Nashville Cream, the Radiohead guitarist/keyboardist/overall musical guru said, “Well we’re meeting up at the end of the summer, and we’ll make a plan. But, you know, we’re a slow-moving animal, always have been. I guess we’ll decide then what we do next.”

Radiohead are one of those rare bands that ages but never gets old. Over the years, they have shaped, re-shaped, and re-created their sound with each subsequent record, demonstrating an almost unparalleled ability to mature with time. It will be interesting to see where record number nine takes them.
