Radiohead Manager Launches Progressive Record Label

Brian Message, aka Radiohead's manager, has recently launched his own record label called Polyphonic. Although artists have yet to be signed to the label, Polyphonic has a decidedly more progressive take on the record industry. Message has plans to provide artists with 50% of profits, which would only increase as time went on. Polyphonic will also emphasize the digital distribution of music, such as the way Radiohead's In Rainbows was released via the internet and to the tune of choose-your-own-price. Message's Polyphonic is a conglomeration of his other company ATC Management and the firms MAMA Group and Nettwerk Music Group. [NME]
