Radiohead Contribute 14 Songs To ‘The Island President’ Documentary

Expect to hear plenty of Radiohead if you see the award-winning documentary The Island President, a film based on the Republic of Maldives and how its leader is working to raise awareness on the impact of global warming. Apparently Thom Yorke and company contributed 14 songs from their discography to the documentary, including such personal favorites as “Everything In Its Right Place,” “House of Cards,” and “How to Disappear Completely.”

Yorke also posted the following message about the film [via NME]:

“‘The Island President’ is a film about the Maldives, and the struggle of President Nasheed to get the voice of a small nation heard in the climate change debate. Unless something is done to stop rising sea levels they will lose everything. The country will be under water. Some of our music was used to help tell the story.”
