On her show this week, Rachel Ray took some time before Hall and Oates' appearance to lobby for the duo's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which has ignored them. She definitely has a point: "I Can't Go for That" is better than anything Jeff Beck has ever done, and that guitar goon got inducted last year (his playing is good, yes, but it's like the equivalent of a 14-year-old boy with a fast Internet connection and a lot of Kleenex*). Plus Clapton has been inducted like 13 times, and he didn't deserve at least 11 of those, even if he is actually god.

But seriously, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke anyway. But it probably matters to the dudes in Hall and Oates. Not even shaving the mustache (and I mean "the mustache," as in the only mustache that has ever mattered, ever) could (apparently) get Hall and Oates the respect they deserve.
