People, why are you hating on Rachael Ray? She taught you how to cook an entire meal in less than thirty minutes. She taught you how to eat well on forty bucks a day. All of a sudden she decides to throw a day party at SXSW and she's a threat to all things indie. She says she's a bit nonplussed that music fans are taking issue with this.
"I don't see why we'd be out of place down there, when we're just fans of music who decided to put on a show. I guess if they don't like good music, and they don't like good food, they don't have to go," she told MTV.
"And I don't understand why that's so surprising. I find it weird that they find in weird. People think I'm like this food robot or something, but music is a huge part of my life," she added.
Her party at Beauty Bar on March 15 includes sets by The Raveonettes and Holy Fuck as well as her husband's band the Cringe, a not very good, not very indie band that is, according to its myspace page, influenced by just about everybody from Ciccone Youth to Genesis. And Smashing Pumpkins ("though only Gish").

i wish my wife's constant eating funded my musical career.
i'm hating on her because she doesn't tip 20% on her 40$ a day show.
