Come Nov. 20, you can own eight of Quentin Tarantino’s most celebrated films in a new Blu-ray collection. Lionsgate and Miramax have announced the upcoming release of Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection.
The eight films (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, True Romance, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds) have been chosen by Tarantino himself to represent the first 20 years of his celebrated film career. The collection will also include two discs of new bonus material adding up to five hours. Extra features include interviews with filmmakers, actors and critics.
The new collection comes just in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino’s feature directorial debut. The auteur’s films have starred acclaimed actors like Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman and Tim Roth, among others.
SlashFilm reports that the collection also includes original artwork by Mondo artist Ken Taylor. The suggested retail price will be $119.99, a small price to pay for film buffs to revisit Tarantino’s modern classics in an up-to-date format, not to mention the hours of extras.
Tarantino’s newest film Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio, is set to be released Dec. 25. A third Kill Bill film has also been announced.
