New Q-Tip album<i> The Renaissance</i> finally out in October?

According to Billboard.com, Q-Tip, he of long-delayed and cancelled album fame will finally release his sophomore album, The Renaissance, on October 14. Considering Tip had two albums that reached this far in the completion cycle before being disbanded, this info should be celebrated at arm’s length.

But still that’s pretty great news-- A new Q-Tip album, which Billboard says “sound(s) reminiscent of the rapper’s work in A Tribe Called Quest” could be out in two months. But wait; does it sound like Midnight Marauders (God, I hope so) or The Love Movement (NOOOO!)?

Tip’s representatives say the release date is tentative, but with all the tracks we’ve already heard, how much more time does he really need?
