Q-Tip Names Fourth LP: ‘The Last Zulu’

It’s been more than two years since we last officially heard from Q-Tip. His previously shelved Kamaal/The Abstract dropped in 2009, though most are aware that record was actually due out in 2002. So we can consider his next album, apparently called The Last Zulu, his follow-up to 2008’s The Renaissance, which stood as one of that year’s finest records. Q-Tip revealed the name of his fourth record in an interview on Shade 45. He also said that fans should expect a concept album that combines world music and boom-bap to make an something that is, in his words, “Probably going to be the hardest shit I ever did.” Now all we need is a release date, please.
