Hip-hop yuppies rejoice: Q-Tip and Common are forming a hip-hop supergroup. Or superpair, anyway, according to an exclusive interview with XXL. They'll be called The Standard, which we're assuming is a hint that they will set the bar for excellence, rather than a nod to nailing hot wannabe actresses at a rooftop hotel pool. Q-Tip maintains that it was Common's idea: ''"He was like, 'We just need to do a record.'''" The Abstract will handle most of the production, but they're hoping to snag Kanye for a couple tracks as well. Q-Tip and Common Form New Group, The Standard[XXL]
