G.O.O.D. Music, the label headed by Kanye West, is set to release its Cruel Summer group project on Sept. 4. Pusha T recently spoke with Rolling Stone, though, and it seems that's all we really know about the album. He said, "I've done about 20 verses, but the album's still a mystery to me because I don't know what's made it and what hasn't."
"It wouldn't be right if the element of surprise wasn't there for everybody involved except Kanye," Pusha continued, "That's his magic, man." So what do we know? Well, Cruel Summer will feature some unnamed guest producers, and the entire thing was recorded in hotel rooms. Members of the G.O.O.D. team apparently had their emails hacked into numerous times, so West refused to do anything through email.
When Kanye called Pusha once to tell him about an "ill beat," Push's manager had to fly to pick it up in person. Whether that's paranoia or dedication I'm unsure. [RS]
