Pusha T Reveals Collaborations With Pharrell, Just Blaze And More On Solo Album

Pusha T‘s rise to solo success isn’t stopping with his show-stealing contributions (“Mercy,” “New God Flow,” “Higher”) on G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer album. The Clipse MC is also prepping his debut solo album, which he discussed in more detail in an interview with Vulture.

Pusha Ton revealed that the record is “80 percent” complete, and that he’s logged studio time with a host of high profile names including Just Blaze, Swizz Beatz, The-Dream and long-time collaborator Pharrell.

“I’m just doing records, man. It’s like 80 percent done,” he said. “Me and Dream created a crazy musical bond; Dream is my man. Me and Swizz got some great shit together. I found one [song] from Pharrell I’m really excited about. Just Blaze, I was just in the studio with him and I’ve been begging to get in the studio with him.”

The G.O.O.D. Music rep said he’s also been in the studio with Timbaland, with one track being wrapped up already, and expressed his desire to work with (and Twitter stalk) woman-on-the-comeback Missy Elliott.

“You know someone I’m gonna Twitter stalk? I tried to but she don’t tweet enough? Missy,” he quipped. “I just went through a whole begging ordeal with Timbaland and I just did a record for him today so he said, ‘For sure. I promise you. I can get you on this. Blasé blasé blah.’ And I’m sure he can.”
