Prodigy: "I don't give a f*** about Pac"

(Via: HipHopDX)
Prodigy, one half of the previously amazing Mobb Deep, had a fairly acrimonious relationship with the late Tupac Shakur. (Threats of beatings from both sides and Tupac making cracks about Prodigy's sickle cell anemia seems to qualify.) You might think, then, that Prodigy would want nothing to do with Pac whatsoever.
Instead, a track from Prodigy's upcoming solo album, Return of the Mac, samples Pac's voice on the chorus. He had this to say about the sample: "Any problems that me and Pac had, that wouldn'''t stop me from using his voice on a sample. ...I don'''t give a f**k about Pac."
Maybe this is Prod's final shot...wanna make a dead rival roll over in his grave? Use his voice to sell a few records. Good times.

Yeah, I'd be pretty pissed if someone dissed me because of a debilitating disease.

Ya, that was cold, this is why rap is Resting In Peace or at lest Resting in Pieces. After Pac and Biggie, no one has stepped up and talked about social issues, the wrongs of the world. Ninety percent of songs today are about getting money, women and material stuff. At some point some one needs to stand up and say look shit is screwed up and we need to stop it and fix it.* So what are the rules of a battle? You can go after a guys clothes, his style, weight, women''¦what is o.k. and what is not o.k.? Just asking cause the more personal it gets, it seems the more people care.

there are emcees that talk about the wrongs of the world, it's just that those artists aren't in vogue anymore. if people want to hear about bitches and money, fine, but there needs to be a bigger platform for those with substance, too.

Just because they have substance, or a message that is true and pure doesn'''t mean they can get it out there without some style and that what might be missing, someone who can or has both. If there is no stage for them, who hears them, what good is it to yell at a wall? It is sort of like that ball player that can shoot but can not dibble or vise versa, you want or need the tottally package to be a constitant scorer, a great player.

if pac was still alive half of y'all would die

If I was P I'd feel the same way; Pac hit below the belt wit that diss in "Hit 'Em Up", but even though Ricky is exaggerating things a bit, best believe Prodigy wouldn't say **** if Makaveli wuz still alive . . . it'd be funny if he still wuz, read this and came out of hiding just to give Mobb Deep an ass-whooping . . . LOL R.I.P. Pac & Prodigy the album is dope first LP I bought since Cuban Link's "Chain Reaction".
