Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade of Pale" the Most Played Song in Public Places in Britain in the Last 75 Years

For some unexplained reason, a group in Britain has complied a list of the most played songs in public places in Britain, and quite shockingly, the song is "White Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum. In a way, the song makes sense, since it's perfect for dentist offices, late night trips to pharmacies, and for shopping malls. Surprisingly though, no Beatles here. The full list is below, with video of Procol Harum, um, rocking, the song out on TV. [Daily Swarm]
