Prince has a new triple album out, and it’s on sale for a very reasonable $11.99. But wealthy fans who don’t know the meaning of the word “recession” can also lay out a cool $2,100 for another project by the diminutive singer, named 21 Nights: The Prince Opus.
The box set, which is almost two feet wide and weighs 37.5 lbs, is designed to commemorate Prince’s 21-night stand at the 02 Arena in London in 2007. An engraved iPod is included in the lavish package, and it comes pre-loaded with Prince’s Indigo Nights live album and a 40 minute documentary on the 02 shows.
There are 950 Opus sets available, and one lucky owner will be flown to a private Prince show in Los Angeles. The Opus website has more details on the release, which is full of photographs, lyrics and many other items that will remain out of touch to everyone bar the wealthiest Prince fans.
Ok, I have $2000.
I only need an extra $100.
OMG I'M SO EXCITED TO OWN THIS! OMG
Hahahaha.
yeah, he's clearly cheapening himself with these prices...
mikerus
you'd think at that price he would at least have preloaded every album in his library on that
