The movie that catapulted Appollonia Kotero to 15 minutes of fame boasts the best soundtrack of all time, according Vanity Fair magazine, which will release next month its full list of the 50 greatest compiled by its editors, Reuters reported.
I actually caught the 1984 classic recently on VH1 Classic and it brought me back to a time where a band leader could wear boots with high heels and ride around on a purple motorcycle. That's what I picture whenever I think of Minneapolis. Yeah, the movie sucked then as it did now. But come the fuck on: "Let's Go Crazy," "Darling Nikki," "I Would Die 4 You"? That's just gold right there, I tell you. Disagree? Then who would you vote for?
Here's Vanity Fair's top 10:
1. "Purple Rain"
2. "A Hard Day's Night"
3. "The Harder They Come"
4. "Pulp Fiction"
5. "The Graduate"
6. "Superfly"
7. "Trainspotting"
8. "Saturday Night Fever"
9. "American Graffiti"
10. "The Big Chill"
