'Pretty Hate Machine' Finally Getting Reissue Treatment

Hard to believe it's been over 20 years since Nine Inch Nails' debut Pretty Hate Machine basically reinvigorated the industrial movement and put a certain dreadlock-sporting chap named Trent Reznor on the musical map.

Now, after much legal wrangling with former label TVT followed by Rykodisc Records, a Reznor-approved reissue of Machine will finally see the light of day on Nov. 22 via Bicycle Music Group/Universal.

In a message on the official NIN website, Reznor says, "It’s been an interesting trip watching the fate of this record float from one set of hands to another (a long and depressing story) but it’s finally wound up in friendly territory, allowing us to polish it up a bit and present it to you now. We had fun revisiting this old friend, hope you enjoy."

Along with an updated version of the album artwork from longtime Reznor collaborator Rob Sheridan, the PHM reissue will include a bonus track, NIN's beloved cover of Queen's "Get Down Make Love," which was originally found on 1990's "Sin" single. [via Spin and The NIN Hotline]

Pretty Hate Machine reissue track listing:

01 Head Like a Hole

04 Sanctified

05 Something I Can Never Have

06 Kinda I Want To

I only own this on cassette tape. I'm old. I might be buying this too to see how well it has held up. I do have some fond memories.
