Zella Day's track "East of Eden" was a heavy whirlwind of bustling synths. It was the kind of track you'd hear on a soundtrack for a fantasy epic. The landscapes were beautifully drawn and her vocals soared. The track helped boost the new artists acclaim. But now, Colorado-based up and coming producer Ryan Ross aka StéLouse has amped up the landscapes on the original with an injection of powerful breaking and dubstep like beats. It increases the heart rate while it surrounds you with pounding percussion. His rework of Zella Day’s track is another entry into his catalog that helps the young producer stretch out further into the electronic scene. Having already remixed the likes of Disclosure and TLC, his latest is just another hint at his growth as a producer.
The original track appears on Zella Day’s self-titled debut EP.
