When London dream folk-pop group Mt. Wolf took on one of 2012's most emotional songs, who knew that they'd be able to make it just as emotional and sensitive as the original. And when speaking of emotional, Usher's single "Climax" was one of the most breathtaking ballads to have been released this year. It took Diplo's production mastery and Raymond Usher IV's powerful vocals and melded it all into a whirlwind of emotional bliss. The ups and the downs made your heart pound and the tear-ducts in your eyes go into overdrive.
That was indeed a tough task to follow. But the London group took the RnB ballad and turned it into a beautiful folk song evoking the same feelings that the original did. The band arranged their instruments in the most perfect of ways. Beautifully strum guitars gently bounce over low booming percussion. And all the while, Kate Sproule’s vocals beautifully crooning the song’s sensual lyrics making it their own.
