Parisian production duo Union is the latest act to sign with hip-hop staple Fat Beats Records. And in anticipation of their full-length debut on the label, the mysterious beatsmiths have issued a lead single, "Time Leak," that's more than likely to gain the attention (and affection) of hip-hop heads.
"Time Leak" features a super-sharp guest verse from rap stalwart Talib Kweli, who somehow finds the pocket of Union's space-y production. In addition, the track boasts fellow Parisian Sly Johnson on the hook, which drifts into the most soulful parts of the galaxy. And like any proper single, "Time Leak" comes with a pair of B-sides courtesy of producer fLako and Damu the Fudgemunk. They both put their own spin on the track, particularly Damu and his sample-heavy approach.
