Prefix Premiere: Kimya Dawson’s “Solid And Strong” Video & Tour Dates

    If you’re having a bad day or you’re just looking for an extra boost this afternoon (or morning depending on where you live), Kimya Dawson is here to help. The folksy, seemingly always upbeat singer-songwriter has shared the visuals for “Solid and Strong,” the latest single off last fall’s Thunder Thighs album. 

    While other tracks on the record featured her friends like Aesop Rock and John Darnielle, the focus of “Solid and Strong” remains on Dawson and her knack for cheery, wholly accessible folk tunes. But for the track’s video, the central theme is that of togetherness, family, and friends — a combination that makes for one of the cutest and most upbeat clips we’ve seen this year.
