Prefix Exclusive: Drive-By Truckers' "Saving Grace / Love Songs" (Documentary Video)

The fifth episode of the Drive-By Truckers’ The Go-Go Boots Episodes showcases “I Do Believe,” “The Weakest Man,” and “Mercy Buckets.” The first selection delivered by Patterson Hood and his hat, is an acoustic version of the album’s lead track.  Mike Cooley’s track, “The Weakest Man,” is only introduced, but the band goes through a pretty entertaining explanation of how the song’s chorus was recorded. The final song, “Mercy Buckets,” is also the last one on the album. The track, which according to Hood is a redneck interpretation of “merci beaucoup,” benefits from the Truckers’ time on the road with Booker T. Go-Go Boots will be released on ATO Records on February 15.
