After this year's earlier sountrack work Who Loves the Sun, Mac McCaughan and the rest of Portastatic return with wordier tunes on their ninth album, Be Still Please. The album drops on Oct. 10. Here comes the necessary metnioning of Mac's other roles: in case you didn't know, he founded two other indie rock institutions, the band Superchunk and the label Merge.
