While Philadelphia holds out hope for landing a Lollapalooza-sized music festival for summer 2008, it's a sure thing that the city will play host to one very interesting, if smaller-scoped, fest. That would be the POPPED! Music Festival, scheduled to go down June 20-22 on the campus of Drexel University. Curating the first night of the fest will be the hometown heroes in the Roots, who will also run through the entirety of what many consider their career highlight, 1999's Things Fall Apart. Organizers behind the festival are dropping hints that The Roots won't be the only band revisiting a past classic album. Check out POPPED!'s website for more info and updates on acts to be added to the bill.
