New York’s Vivian Girls have after 7 years to end their run.
The band via facebook announced:
Brooklyn, New York, March 2007: we started making music together and became what we know as Vivian Girls. It’s been a long and crazy journey in the seven years since, and we feel as though the time has finally come to let our band rest in peace. It’s been an experience that we’ll look back on and cherish and we’d like to thank you for sharing it with us. We have had such an amazing time being a band, touring the world, releasing records and meeting all of you.
But that’s not to say the trio has left music completely. Katy Goodman is still with her band La Sera, Cassie Ramone has her band Babies, and Ali Koehler plays alongside former Hole drummer Patty Schemel in Upset.
The three as Vivian girls will be performing their final two live shows on February 14, 2014 at Church on York in Los Angeles and then on March 1, 2013 at Death by Audio in Brooklyn, New York.
