Playboy Suing Drake Over "Best I Ever Had"

Now that Drake is all famous and everything, he can expect lawsuits pretty much on the reg. From what I've gathered in my time here at Prefix, people will sue stars just because they're bored. Makes sense, I guess.

But Drake's first celeb lawsuit comes not from some chump claiming Drake ripped him off; instead Hugh Hefner and Playboy are suing Drake for sampling a piece of music during "Best I Ever Had" that Playboy owns. The sample is allegedly from "Fallin' In Love" by Hamilton, Frank & Reynolds, and it's pretty obvious it was taken wholesale. Compare below.

The big question though is why sue Drake? He didn't produce the song; it was Boi-1da. But I bet 1da doesn't have a pile of cash like Drake does at this point. [FACT]

Hmmm. The track appeared on a mixtape, but I'm sure Drake got royalties for radio impressions. Is it for sale on iTunes?
