Since now is such a great great time to be a young music man not afraid of applying a little makeup (see: My Chemical Romance, AFI, Panic! At the Disco, and even Of Montreal), Placebo's Meds, originally released last year on Astralwerks, will see new life on Virgin. It will be amongst tomorrow's massive slew of releases, which seems like a strange decision, similar to if Bewitched were put back out there this summer to contend with Spiderman 3 and Shrek the 3rd. To try to compete, the re-release will of course be bulked up with bonus tracks. Three more tracks appear in all, including a cover of Kate Bush's "Running up that Hill" as well as Placebo originals "Lazarus" and "UNEEDMEMORETHANINEEDU" (dig the MySpace post screaming spelling!). So, good luck tomorrow to Brian Molko and the rest of the band.
