Those rumors about a new PJ Harvey album turned out to be true. The singer has announced the release of Let England Shake in February, which is a full 10 months after she debuted the title track of the record on English television (above). Collaborators in the producers chair included John Paris, former Bad Seed Mick Harvey, and Flood.
Harvey spoke to NME about the release, which was partly recorded in a church in Dorset:
"We played most of the music live. I didn’t set down any rules. For some reason, we were all in a very good place, with a lot of energy, intensity and vitality in us at that time. It was a really enjoyable experience, and I think the record’s ended up full of energy and quite an uplifting experience because of it."
