If there were ever any question as to why exactly the Pixies are back together and touring their 1989 album Doolittle, it's now pretty obvious they're in it for cash, probably so drummer Dave Lovering can buy some new magic tricks. Limited edition recordings of the band’s London, Amsterdam and Brussels sets will be sold to concertgoers at the venues straight after the shows, but if flying to Europe seems too big a trek for a live mix, you can order online from the band's Sandbag site. And in case CDs aren’t sleek enough for you, the Pixies are offering a more fashionable option, according to their press release:
“500 custom USB wristbands, priced at £20.00, will be available at the ‘Doolittle’ shows as well as online. The wristbands will include that night's show plus the added bonus of the five videos created specifically for the ‘Doolittle Tour’ and featured as part of the show's live production.”
Though having a Doolittle wristband might make you feel like a VIP, backstage passes to Lovering’s next illusionist show are not included. Until then, Pixies Tour Dates listed below.
