Ever since Conan took over for Leno, there's been a lot of fairly appropriate complaints that his musical guests have lost the more or less consistent "cool" that they had before. The Pixies' upcoming performance on his show may change that.

The Pixies are scheduled to play The Tonight Show on Friday, Nov. 6, and, at the special request of one of the show's producers, they'll perform "Here Comes Your Man" from their 1989 album, Doolittle. This is all in support of the band's current tour, which includes a whole slew of dates coming up in the U.S., the first since 2005.
