It's been an exciting few days for Pixies fans: first, Black Francis hinted at plans for a new album, and now, the band has announced a European tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark album Doolittle. The tour will be a variation of the Don't Look Back-style retrospective concerts, with all the related B-sides and other "Doolittle-related surprises" thrown in. The tour starts on the first of October, and only runs for two weeks, so if you're going to be anywhere near European soil, I'd suggest jumping on this chance. When else will you have a guarantee of hearing "Debaser," "Monkey Gone to Heaven" AND "Here Comes Your Man" at the same concert? Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 3.
Meanwhile, those of us stuck in America for the fall can take solace in the massive Minotaur box set.
