Lupe Fiasco's alleged final album, Lasers, has been done for more than a year, so why hasn't it been put out yet? Reports are that the label is holding it to try to pressure Lupe into recording a "poppy" single. That doesn't sit well with Lupe's fans, who have started an online petition for Atlantic to release the album as is. Here's what they wrote. Sics all theirs:
To: Atlantic Records Dear Atlantic Records,
The fans have been below have been waiting for the release for Lupe Fiasco's album "Lasers" for over a good year now. Since when it was originally announced finished last summer, there has still yet to be a release date announced. It has even been stated by Lupe Fiasco the artist himself, that the album si in fact completed. Enough is enough, we demand that you stop playing around and give us the album that we have been highly anticipating since the release of The Cool.
Sincerely, The Undersigned
You can sign the petition here. How ironic is it that Lupe talked about this exact problem on one of his earlier singles? [Real Talk]
Its not his final album. But please sign the petition and keep the internet buzzing and moving!!!

Release the album. Real hip-hop is needed to inspire the future generations of lyricists. there's already an over saturation of gangster rappers on borrowed nick names from legitimate felons. After awhile hip-hop fans get tired of force feeding our ears the same old Tony Montana storyline. And Eminem is pop enough for all other artist let him put out the fuzzy singles...he's not afraid!
