Peter Hook isn’t done resuscitating the Joy Division catalog just yet. Last year’s Unknown Pleasures tour stirred up some controversy, but now Hook is turning his attention to his former band’s Closer, announcing plans that he is going to take that album out on the road in full.
The first date will be in Manchester at a venue named the Factory on May 18, and Hook and his band the Light are prepping an EP to coincide with this new spate of activity. An unreleased Joy Division track titled “Pictures in my Mind” will feature on that recording, along with reworkings of “Atmosphere” and “New Dawn Fades.” Does anyone really need that in their lives?
