Pete Townshend Disputes Claims Of Hearing Problems, Outlines Tour Plans

File this one under the Warhorses of Rock category. In a recent blog post, Pete Townshend disputed claims that his hearing loss kept him off Roger Daltrey’s Tommy tour. He said that his hearing was fine, and that Daltrey’s current run of shows  is “entirely Roger’s adventure, and one that is bringing him great  joy.” Lest the rumor mill get started that the duo are having a feud, Townshend went on to discuss his ongoing work remastering Quadrophenia, and casually mentioned that the Who will mount a tour around it in the near future. Given that the band was originally unable to play many of the songs from Quadrophenia live due to technical issues, this will be the first proper tour for the album. [Rolling Stone]
