In an interview with the London Times, Pete Doherty is still busy talking up the possibility of a Libertines reunion, claiming that he and Carl Barat have reconciled, and discussed at length the possibility of getting the band back together to record a new album in 2010.
"We had a good couple of hours [after the show]," he said. "We were up all night together. It was amazing really. I think we're gonna make a record and tour. Get The Libertines to take it to the next step, next stage."
With Doherty it's impossible to say what is fact and what is fiction, but this is essentially mirrored by similar quotes by Barat back in May. I can't imagine that the band wouldn't get back together, considering Barat's Dirty Pretty Things falling apart, Doherty's Babyshambles falling apart, and Doherty's pretty awful solo album. But only time will tell, I suppose. [NME]
Oh please god, no....
