There's a joke to be had in that title, but I'm not going to touch it. According to witness reports, Pete Doherty was involved in a bloody brawl last night with a photographer after The Babyshambles had finished playing at the Piper Club. Witnesses say that Doherty jumped on the man, and punched him several times before they were seperated. Meanwhile, the rest of the band, industrious fellows that they are, decided it would be smart to pick up metal ashtrays as weapons. You can't make this kind of stuff up...
Apparently, their set earlier in the night didn't go smoothly either. MSNBC(!) is reporting that during the Babyshambles performance, Doherty broke several instruments and threatened fans with the microphone stand after drummer Adam Ficek left the stage becuase he was hit with an object thrown by a member of the crowd.
The photographer had to go to the hospital in the end, although the police don't seem to be involved at this point. No word on what caused the bust-up, or how nuclear Kate went when she heard about it. I'd like to reiterate my sentiments from yesterday, that the child the couple are expecting deserves everyone's sympathy.
