Later this week, former Libertines frontman Pete Doherty will auction off some personal artwork. Some pieces make use of the musician's own blood, while another--a self-portrait called "Ladylike"--actually contains the blood of the late Amy Winehouse. That particular work is expected to sell for between $80,000-129,000. Of the piece Doherty said the following.
Amy was on the phone to her dad when she did that (painting). She said, 'Dad, I'm with Pete and he's making me draw with my blood!' He didn't like me much, her dad.
The auction will take place at the Cob Gallery this Friday, according to the Independent. Among the blood art, other items will include previously private diaries, guitars and military jackets. For a longer list of what to expect at the auction, you can check this .pdf file for details. [Spinner]
